Story

Sir Chefsalot was hosting a BBQ and getting things set up when he accidentally touched a grill and it hurt so much that he got launched into outer space and has to run back to his BBQ before it starts. The only thing he has to defend himself is his trusty Spatula.

Can you defeat the Glorpion so he can make it back before all his guests arrive?

If the game is zoomed in weirdly, hold ctrl or cmd  and scroll to zoom in until it fits.

cant get it out of the super zoomed in mode - scrolling as per instrucions is impossible on a laptop ?

No, It might be youre computer, I did all development and playtesting on a 13" macbook air so it should be fine on a laptop! Thanks for trying to play!

I'm having the same issue. The "hold ctr or md and scroll to zoom" doesn't seem to be compatible with trackpads, at least not on Windows. If I use my browser's zoom function to zoom out a bunch, it becomes somewhat playable for a while, but the camera system gets super wonky as the level goes on, scrolling to show only the top or bottom half a room at a time, for example.

it must be your computer !

Yeah I think a certain dimension of computer monitor dosent like it

:( sorry

Love the creepy color scheme, giving the game's design a really otherworldly feel. The synth-y bells give the game a fun offbeat vibe as well that matches the humour. I liked exploring but found myself dying quite a bit - I wonder if a checkpoint system could help? Great work!

Thanks for playing our game! I also agree a checkpoint system would be great for the game. I made the game to easy at first, so it didnt need checkpoints but when I cranked up the difficulty near the end of the jam I relized it needed some sort of way to make it essier, but I only had 2 hours left in the jam and wanted to focus on getting the itch page up! Thanks for playing!

Very welcome! Congrats on finishing a game for the jam!
